Annette Limon is a proud single mother of three children Devin Steger, Dillan Thomas, and Dazmin Thomas.

Annette works as the Special Projects Manager for Contract Training at Mount San Antonio College’s Workforce Training Center. Annette works with local businesses in the community to help them reach their potential through innovative trainings specifically designed for each of her clients. She is a member of the Regional Chamber of Commerce, Pomona Chamber, Irwindale Chamber, Covina Chamber, San Dimas Chamber, and La Verne Chamber. She is the Vice-Chair for The Employer Advisory Council with EDD. Annette is an active participant in many of the events sponsored by those local chambers. Annette participated in the 130th Installation of Officer’s & Awards Reception for the Pomona Chamber and entered into her position as a Board Member. Annette has been very instrumental in collaborating with Los Angeles County Office of Education to provide job readiness training to their Cal Works, Gain, and Grow recipients in programs such as Bookkeeping, Retail Management, and Administrative Assistant trainings. Annette has received multiple awards for her work in the community:

  1. In 2015, Annette received a Certificate of Recognition from Mayor Elliot Rothman with the City of Pomona
  2. In 2015, she received the Community Service Award from Pomona Unified School District
  3. In 2015 Assembly member, 52nd District Freddie Rodriguez presented her with a Certificate of Recognition.
  4. In 2018 Annette received The Shining Star Award from the Regional Chamber of Commerce

Annette has an Associate’s Degree in Merchandise/Marketing from FIDM, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from University of La Verne.

Beverly Bailey

Beverly J. Bailey, for the last 21 years, has been providing advisory services by assisting organizations in minimizing labor costs and increasing effectiveness and productivity through prudent employment practices. She also serves as an expert witness in Human Resources.

Ms. Bailey provides training to organizations in areas such as Equal Opportunity Employment, Preventing Sexual Harassment, Interviewing Skills for Today’s Managers, Performance Management Objectives, Employment Law Issues for Managers and Supervisors, and Diversity Advantages in Business.

She has written various articles on human resource issues for Healthcare Human Resources and Orange County Business Journal. She has been quoted in Bureau of National Affairs Bulletin to Management and in the Entrepreneur Magazine concerning Employee Privacy issues.

She has taught for the University of California, Irvine; California State University, San Bernardino and the University of Phoenix in the Human Resources Certificate Program. She currently teaches at Cal Poly Pomona.

She has been a guest lecturer at the American Management Association Conferences, Cal State Dominguez Hills, Professionals in Human Resources Association, Employers Advisory Council, Inland Empire Women in Business Conference, Association of Professional Women Business Owners, and the Industry Manufacturers Council. She has also been a guest speaker on Radio KZLA discussing sexual harassment issues.

Ms. Bailey graduated from the University of Redlands. In addition, she holds a certificate from the University of California, Los Angeles, in Human Resources and Personnel Management. She also has a certificate in Alternate Dispute Resolution and Mediation at the University of California, Irvine.

Brett R. Strauss, Esq.

Brett R. Strauss, Esq. is the Director of Compliance at Southland Data Processing (SDP) in Upland, CA. He has been with SDP since 2010 and specializes in consulting with employers to find cost effective solutions to comply with California and Federal employment regulations.

Mr. Strauss’ clients have included a broad range of entities such as sole proprietorships, small corporations that are hiring employees for the first time, and medium-sized businesses that are searching for practical and cost-effective solutions to challenging legal problems.

Mr. Strauss is a graduate of the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona and earned his J.D. from the University of La Verne College of Law. He is also a proud member of the Labor & Employment Section of the State Bar of California.

Mr. Strauss has also served as an Associate Board Member of Steven’s Hope for Children in Upland, CA since 2012. He and his wife Julie reside in Claremont, CA with their two children; Scarlett and Jameson.

Clint Miller

Clint Miller is the Local Veterans Employment Representative (LVER) with the Employment Development Department (EDD) in the Rancho Cucamonga America’s Job Center of California. He has been with the EDD since 2010 working to find employment opportunities for Veterans. After working in Indio, Clint joined the Rancho Cucamonga team in 2016.

Clint served six years in the U.S. Navy and received his bachelors in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from California State University San Bernardino.

Currently Clint represents the Veteran program on the West Inland Empire Employer Advisory Council and with the Inland Empire Veterans Employment Committee. He is involved in the annual regional Honor a Hero Hire a Vet Job and Resource Fair along with numerous other job fair events throughout the Inland Empire.

Yolanda Quintana

Yolanda Quintana is the founder of Human Approach HR and Senior Human Resource Consultant. Creating a team environment where organizations are moving in the same direction can be so powerful and with the right management leading the way can provide a competitive advantage. She works alongside her clients to create a workplace that will allow them to concentrate on their business. Beginning by developing a solid foundation with strategies and procedures that are compliant with federal, state and local laws, and leadership committed to treating the workforce with dignity, respect, and trust where everyone can prosper, including the organization.

Yolanda has over 20 years as of progressive knowledge in all disciplines of human resources. In 2013, she launched Human Approach HR as an Independent Consultant and Practitioner. Her passion is being parted an of the transformation process and seeing our client’s workforce thrive and become successful contributors to their organization.

In 2015, she began working with Mt San Antonio College, Chaffey College Workforce Training Center/Institute and Rancho Santiago Community College as an Instructor providing training to local business groups in leadership and human resource management topics. As a Bilingual in English and Spanish speaker, she can reach more diverse workforce communities and industries.

She currently attends Azusa Pacific University (APU) pursuing a degree in Organizational Leadership with plans to graduate in 2019. She is a Graduate of University of Irvine (UCI), Human Resource Management, Cal State Dominguez Hills, Advanced HR Certification and Advanced Interactive Instructional Trainer with Cannon E-Institute and actively seeking to complete her SPHR/PHR Certification. She is also an alumnus of Mt. San Antonio College where she received her General Education. In 2014 received an OSHA 30 Certified in workplace safety and prevention.

To remain current in HR practices, we have been members of SHRM, Employment Advisory Council, annual Employment Law Conferences, California HR Conference and legal updates with AALRR Employment Law Attorney Group.

In May of 2013, she received her Small Business Certification. She is active in the community serving in several local chambers and sits on the Industry Manufacturer Chamber HR Advisory, active member the Regional Chamber SG Valley, Chino Valley, and Duarte Chamber of Commerce, Christian Business Partners, Toastmasters, past President of the Hispanic Business Association from 2007 to 2008 and Ambassador of the Year 2008 with the Regional Chamber.

On her off-time, Yolanda enjoys serving on the board of House of Ruth and Soroptimist International Puente Hills. She is co-founders of The LADY Group which provides a platform to support women in achieving their dreams through mentorships, workshops, and positive social events.

Challenges occur in all organizations and taking these steps may not be so straightforward to implement. When poor leadership exists, the organization and the team suffer. To improve, and strengthen the group dynamics requires a desire and commitment from its leadership.

Andrew Kamara-Kay

Andrew Kamara-Kay received his Associate of Arts in Speech Communications and Liberal Arts from Santa Ana Community College.

Andrew began his career with the State of California Employment Development Department in 2010 with the Unemployment Insurance Branch and worked as an Unemployment Insurance Representative. In the year 2013, Andrew made his transition from the Unemployment Insurance Branch to the Workforce Service Branch in order to work directly with the community and provide public service as an Employment Program Representative professional.

Presently, Andrew is a Trade Adjustment Assistance Specialist who helps re-training individuals whose jobs have been affected by foreign trade for the West Valley Americas Job Center of California in Rancho Cucamonga and currently represents the department as the Employer Advisory Council Coordinator for the West Inland Empire.

Eva Martinez

Eva Martinez is a professional with over 20 years of experience in Management and Human Resources field. She currently working towards her B.A. Degree in Human Resource Management from Colorado State University Global Campus, and a Certificate in Human Resources from the Loyola Marymount University and Chaffey College.

Her knowledge and experience include team building, associate relations, labor law compliance, OSHA compliance, recruitment and training and is bilingual in Spanish. Her background includes distribution, and manufacturing with a multi-state employer.

Currently, Mrs. Martinez is a Human Resources Generalist for Country Archer and has been instrumental in reducing the commercial insurance package cost which includes worker’s compensation, general liability, product liability, property, recall, D&O, and EPLI. In addition to being, the Board Secretary for W.I.E.E.A.C., and she enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time with her family.

Bertha Andrade

Bertha Andrade was born on May 12, 1951 in Upland, California and passed away on November 1, 2020 in Upland, California. The WIEEAC honors her for all of the hard work and dedication that she gave to our organization.

Bertha Andrade’s Bio

Bertha Andrade is a professional with over 25 years of experience in Management and Human Resources field. She holds a B.A. Degree in Business Administration, Management Concentration, and a Certificate in Human Resources from the California State University of San Bernardino.

Her knowledge and experience include team building, associate relations, labor law compliance, OSHA compliance, recruitment and training and is bilingual in Spanish. Her background includes distribution, manufacturing, and education. During her time as the Human Resources Manager for the Job Corps for locations in California, Texas and Indiana, she was responsible for compliance with the directives mandated by the Department of Labor, which included EO/Affirmative Action Programs.

Ms. Andrade is a Human Resources Independent Consultant and assignments include sexual harassment training and investigations as well as audits for union and non-union companies. She is also a Certified Notary Public for the State of California. In addition to being the Board Secretary for W.I.E.E.A.C., and she enjoys volunteering her time for the Workforce Development Department for their “Professional Edge Workshops”, and for the Ronald McDonald House in Loma Linda. In the recent past she has been a mentor for the IE-SHRM Emerging HR Professionals.
